WEB/DATABASE DEVELOPER

Position: Web/Database Developer
Min Salary: $ 80,000
Web/Database Developer Salary: Commensurate with Experience


Position Description:

* Design, develop, construct,· prototype, build, and maintain web-based applications for both a collaborative website and a Microsoft SQL database.

* Develop backend database structure· to support end user requirements.

* Migrate these applications from· BTC network to a DOD network, maintaining a development environment at BTC.

* Provide recommendations for· project planning, best practices and alternative approaches in implementing web applications.

* Participate in Working Group to proactively demonstrate ideas and capabilities and obtain feedback from the user community

*Conceptualize long-term needs of· clients; and work with peers in a collaborative, knowledge-sharing environment.

*Provide associated documentation· needed to support the systems built.

Requirements:

* Experience in developing,· designing and implementation of websites and web-enabled database programs for classified and unclassified computers and servers in the Windows, UNIX and LINUX operating systems.

*Proficiency in the use of one or more Web technologies such as ASP, PHP, Java, Javascript, HTML, SSL, C/C++, Perl, ColdFusion, CGI, IIS Server, security (firewalls/encryption products), web servers, browsers and various third party tools for integrating Web applications with databases.

* Working knowledge of Adobe· Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Premiere, Macromedia Flash, Dreamweaver, Microsoft Office Suite required.

* Experience with Microsoft SharePoint and Web 2.0 (Blogs, Wikis, Video) and 3.0 tools and Section 508 requirements a plus.

* At least five years of progressive and professional, multi-tier development experience using web application development technologies and Microsoft SQL server.

* Ability to listen to user requirements, analyze systems and architect solutions with clear designs.

* Proficient in problem solving and· debugging technical issues.

* Excellent interpersonal, communications and organizational skills with ability to gather requirements, and arrive at technical recommendations.

*Must be able to obtain a Clearable Secret Level Clearance
