Christian Communities Group Homes, Inc. is a nonprofit organization that is dedicated to providing quality, affordable alternatives to seniors in Washington, DC. CCGH operates three family-style homes, which offer otherwise homeless seniors a continuum of living options that range from independent to supportive living. CCGH also offers the Age-In-Place program, which supports seniors throughout the District in the upkeep of their existing homes. Maintenance and repair services are priced on a sliding scale, with some basic services offered by volunteers for free in Wards 4 and 5.
CCGH is looking for a Site Supervisor to orient, lead, and work alongside volunteer groups at the work site. These groups will be providing the core services of Age-In-Place (such as yard work, heavy cleaning, and painting) to low to moderate income seniors. The Site Supervisor would directly facilitate and help execute the work. The opportunity is available starting the last week of May through July, 2010.
Qualifications:
--Ability to drive a large van
--18 years of age or older
--Good, clear driving record
--Available for 20 hours per week for nine weeks
--Interest in working with seniors and youth
--Good communication skills
--Ability to perform some physical labor and lifting
