Community Health Analyst

Under the direction of the Assistant Vice President, Community Health, the Community Health Analyst is responsible for executing activities to support MedStar Health’s community benefit services and operations. Duties include:


• Assists in primary, secondary, qualitative and quantitative data collection and analyses.

• Manages comprehensive spreadsheets and datasets; performs analyses to explore trends and key themes.

• Provides verbal and/or written communication on the system’s predetermined community benefit protocols and guidelines.

• Engages the MedStar community benefits team through various electronic platforms.

• Supports continuous quality improvement activities to enhance the system’s ability to capture, document, and report community benefit activities.

• Assists in the development of innovative and interactive community health presentations for internal and external audiences.

• Coordinates meeting logistics and manages a master calendar of activities and deliverables.

• Performs community benefit data entry and reviews database software to ensure compliance with state/federal regulations

• Drafts formal correspondence to various audiences.



Requirements: High school graduation or equivalent. Knowledge of community health, public health, health education or healthcare administration required. Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred. 1-2 years in a public health setting with a track record of applying basic principles of public health. Must have excellent verbal and written skills. Excellent organizational skills and proven ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously. Demonstrated proficiency in producing creative and professional presentations (PowerPoint) . Adept in managing databases and spreadsheets (Excel and Access). Team player with excellent interpersonal skills.
